 The Scripps Research Institute La Jolla, CA  Research Assistant I 2004–Present

Consult with researchers; design and manufacture custom physical models of molecules.

  • Created thousands of custom models for researchers around the globe.
  • Developed website to provide prospective clients with an online gallery, automatic mock-ups, and automatic cost estimator (models.scripps.edu).
  • Designed models that toured Europe including the Nobel museum in Norway. 
  • Work featured in book: Design 4 Science: What is Now Proven Was Once Imagined.
  • Mentored 2 high-school students through TSRI's educational outreach program.

Established digital quality control system utilizing portable coordinated measurement machine (CMM).
